Ayer reunión de padres con maestros en la escuela, quinto de primaria. El departamento de educación proporciona un portátil con Windows capado, la conexión también, no se puede instalar nada que no venga de fábrica. Ya el curso pasado notificamos que no lo aceptaríamos ni tampoco el uso de cuentas de Google, que traeríamos nuestro ordenador de casa (evidentemente con linux) y que la cuenta de correo la crearíamos nosotros donde más conveniente nos parezca.

As the Israeli attacks expand, Lebanon’s east has become as dangerous as its south.

Many civilians there feel both the country and the international community have forgotten their suffering. And they now rely on each other to get through the war.

The death toll from Israel's attacks on Lebanon since last October has surged to 2,634, the number of injured is increased to 12,252, the Lebanese Health Ministry said on Friday.

The Israeli military conducted operations overnight into Friday in Khan Younis, killing 38 people and injuring more than a dozen others, health officials said.

Palestinians who were killed or injured were taken to the European and Nasser Hospitals.

Records from the European hospital obtained by the AP showed at least 15 members from al-Farra family were killed, including 13 children.

Iraq, UAE, and Oman have all condemned Saturday’s Israeli airstrikes on Iranian territory.

Oman’s Foreign Ministry expressed “strong condemnation and denunciation” of the strikes, calling them a “blatant violation of (Iran’s) sovereignty” and “a clear breach of international law.”

The White House said Israel’s strikes must bring to an end direct exchanges of fire between the two sides, warning Tehran of “consequences” should it respond.

Ziad Abu Helaiel – political activist and social reformer – was best known for his defiant phrase “Bihimmish!” (“doesn’t matter”, in Arabic).

The phrase was delivered brazenly, dismissively even, to Israeli soldiers who were trying to scare him as he stood in their way.

Abu Helaiel, who was beaten to death at his home near Hebron by Israeli soldiers on October 7 this year, was well known would be an understatement.

Ahora dicen que van a dar 200 millones para que los jovenes le puedan seguir dando pasta a los rentistas.

Esos 200 millones te los gastas en inspectores de hacienda investigando que los dueños de pisos turísticos que salen en las apps y los de pisos de alquiler en portales inmobiliarios estén declarando todo lo que ganan... y adiós problema de la vivienda.

En un año recaudas mas de esos 200 millones con creces y lo puedes invertir en políticas reales de vivienda.

Pero de eso ni hablar.

En un año en Gaza han matado a más de 15000 niños. Niños como el tuyo y el mío. Niños inocentes, como el tuyo y el mio. Niños con ganas de jugar, como el tuyo y el mio. Niños que soñaban con tener un futuro, como el tuyo y el mío...

Hace mucho que recurro a #rss para mantenerme al día de las cosas que me interesan. En mi caso uso la app Read You en el móvil y FreshRSS (web) en pc, las cuales mantengo sincronizadas gracias a mi cuenta de #LecturaSocial. Nunca me había planteado la "filosofía de resistencia frente al algoritmo" que puede significar el uso de esta tecnología; mi uso se basaba en la simpleza y ausencia de distracciones. Ahora, además, tengo más razones para seguir usándola.
