There are a million reasons why fat shaming is terrible, these are just a few. The same reasoning as for the plastic problem: blaming consumers, while producers really play the biggest role:

@dhuy Another reason is that it likely doesn't help, and makes people go into denial and apathy, beside making their lives more miserable.

I feel important also not to go too far on the other side, and relieving people of personal responsibility. Shaming is not the way though.
