meta, red candle

@copyleftie
This was @TipsyTentacle. I never met her, but here's what I know:
-she was trans
-she was in a very bad home situation
-her death was a big shock to the fediverse
-she had enough friends on Mastodon that there are two emoji in her honor (the red candle and a coffee cup with a tentacle coming out of it) and her witches.town profile has been preserved as a memorial

If there's more to tell, someone who knew her should tell it.

meta, red candle, some anti-trans shit, a touch technical

@DialMforMara @copyleftie also, in the vein of gnuterrypratchett.com a number of servers (including all of GlitchSoc) send out an X-Clacks-Overhead of "GNU Natalie Nguyen" (her offline name)

if you hear people talking about "natalie" or see "GNU [name]" that's what they mean; some masto folks drove down to her funeral and it was just awful (anti-trans) so we try to memorialize her in our own way
