@rynras
Just curious, why do you need to change the podcasts you listen to based on the color of the skin of the team?
Startalk has Neil deGrasse Tyson as host, and it's a pretty nice one if you like scientific podcasts (except for when they start shittalking and forget to properly tackle the main topic, but can't have it all =D ). It's not fiction I'm afraid.
I wouldn't know the ethnicity of who's running the podcasts I listen though, never really payed attention to it
Cant remember exactly the subject (possibly something economic?), but was completely knocked back by the way Neil strongly lead listeners to accept one view as 'the only viable option' in a way that didnt lay out any argument, just belittled the idea of considering anything else. The whole piece felt like constructed propaganda and involved others giving what felt like scripted supporting jeering.
I stopped listening.

There is this list

I see.
I think he is still useful now, I know people who are getting more interested into scientific matters, or that really digged the Cosmos episode on climate change and understood more about it thanks to him.
If for you talking favorably of science (in your words evangelizing of scientism) is something that is not compatible with being useful, I guess he is not so by your definition.
@arteteco
Sorry I really cant remember what episode or what subject, it was a few years back (I'd guess 2-5).
Did find some stuff interesting.
@dazinism no worries, I found some nice stuff and bad stuff in there, mostly it was the only one that popped into my mind with a POC =D
@arteteco
It's not necessarily a change - I'm still going to listen to the podcasts I'm currently listening to - but I also want to support and listen to more POC artists. There are likely plenty of podcasts that are smaller and working to get off the ground, and I want to support them in any way I can.
