No, and I started out on BBSes. You can make some friends, but in general, people represented *only* by symbols present only a part of themselves. The same is true of social events in general, but is amplified online.

Join a hate group instead, you'll find lots of nice accepting people and the barbecue's better. I kid, I kid. I would join any local group that does good things not for people but the community at large itself. Stick with those like you. It's easiest that way.

@amerika ahahahah, the hate group idea is golden! Thing is, they tend to always talk about the same stuff, and I'm not self confident enough to actually hate stuff.

Covid and lockdown are being a problem for me, local people do not meet and there is very little going on in the street... even if difficult without having social media, at least I could have tried that
