My take: they are few and mostly there by chance.
I thought about it. The problem is, sane people need more sane people otherwise they go insane. We are community animals, being isolated is no good for us. At the same time, noise is so loud that like birds looking for one another, we have a hard time connecting.
When a group of them is lucky enough to find each other, and at the same time keeping physically close and not degrading the group dynamics, you got a bunch of sane people
