Marys Peak: Camping Day 1
I didn’t plan to hike 32 miles today, it just happened. Hiking sections of the Corvallis to Coast (C2C) trail this weekend. Made it from the edge of Corvallis to Marys Peak and back. I should have turned back sooner but I was halfway up the steep ascent to the peak so I had to commit. Haven’t seen anyone in the forest. So happy to be camping in December! So peaceful.

Harlan Valley: Camping Day 2
Hiked from the Marys Peak area through a little town in a valley called Harlan and then back up into the mountains on a national forest road. My favorite part was a new looking short steep trail in the middle of nowhere that connects two abandoned forest roads. This trail is so well maintained, very impressed. Lots of trail signs to guide the way and avoid danger.
