Doing end-of-year photo album clean-up. I came across this picture in a forgotten 2015 folder.
At one point, this was my entire retro-computing collection.
@baldengineer Ha. I still use the same Drobo.
@retrorewind Me too! That one replaced a 4-bay that had a failed slot.
@baldengineer @retrorewind Glad I'm not the only nerd that noticed the Drobo
I was like "That's a name I've not heard in a long time..."
@48kRAM @baldengineer They use to sponsor the old TV show I was on. We all got them as demo units and many years later, it’s still hooked up to my Mac as a dumping ground. I wish I only had a 64. I’m up to 79 of them. I need help.
@48kRAM @baldengineer @retrorewind I still have one of my two drobos in service (4 drive units) the one on my PLEX croaked (but it was very old usb 2.0 only "old") .. but my other 4 bay usb 3.0 going strong still.. wish there was some other 1:1 identically featured DAS device that was as easy to use.. I know synology gets high marks but the drobo was kinda dead stupid simple to use.
@baldengineer That's about the time when mine consisted of 2 Ataris, a Tandy, and a C64c that didn't work. Ah, how times have changed 😬
