After watching a documentary on I was wondering “what the problem is with bio fuels?” It seems like the biggest issue is that one is stealing landmass for agriculture. Although it hypothetical sounds like a good option, it really isn’t.

Now there is another promising concept aka “green crude oil”, which is the idea to use over landmass crops. The benefit there over is that its more energy efficient, less area/volume is needed, and it’s independent of the water source (waste water, salt water, fresh water).

The only issue like with any new technology is that there is currently no profit to be made.

There was a point some time ago that I really thought the US might starve itself, literally, in the pursuit of more ethanol. Capitalism is a strange beast sometimes.
