Celebrating the birth of Christ can't be a pagan festival. Unless Christ was a pagan. Think not.

But when pagans converted to Christianity they brought their beloved pagan festival traditions with them which became incorporated into Christmas festivities.

Suggesting #Christmas is a #pagan festival bc of the pagan origins of some Christmas traditions is like saying Christmas is Jewish bc so many beloved Christmas songs were written by Jewish composers.

Check wiki.
Christianity can't be a pagan religion because pagan is the name Christians themselves invented to refer to all other religions, except Judaism.

Reading the following book one comes away with a profound respect for pagans/paganisms.

That "pagan" has become a slur is the result of,for the purpose of, policalizing Christian beliefs over all other forms of religious belief.

However note that this does not change the truth or efficacy of Christ nor the truths of certain Catholic spiritualities.

Just calling a spade a spade is all.

Pagans and Christianity. From the 2nd to 4th Century.
