#Question: do you lament the loss of skills associated with #penmanship and #handwriting across wide sections of the general populace? #Writing #WritingCommunity #Writers @writingcommunity @writers
@bibliolater
I'm more interested in the contents of the writing...

@bibliolater @writingcommunity @writers I do, and I’ve recently started correcting some bad habits I have, while making my cursive look neat. I had a student last semester who turned in her assignments with impeccable cursive and it really stood out to me. Her handwriting was a sign that she takes things seriously and I respect her for it.
@bibliolater It wasn't lost, it was abandoned.
@bibliolater @writingcommunity @writers Nope... adapt or die my friend ✊
But...
As a person who is ambi but I was really supposed to be left handed (left dominate ambi) and nothing really fits or it all fits for either of my hands, stuff is much easier now that I don't have to pick a hand...
@bibliolater @writingcommunity @writers I don’t think it’s necessary to write cursive, but I do think it’s terrible that people are being raised without the fine motor control necessary not only to write, but to wield a brush or a pen with dexterity. My niece clutches her pen in a fist and cannot do fine detailing as a result.
