It is curious that pundits and others use nationwide aggregate polls to show that their favoured candidate is leading and therefore will win the election in November. What is not generally mentioned is that in essence the next president will be chosen by a small number of "swing states". Nationwide polls may not be instructive as to what is happening in these states.
