Why is Trump still popular enough to potentially win the US Presidential election?
a British friend who now lives in the USA thinks its because there is a significant (and large group) of Americans who put immediate lower tax before any other consideration, whatever the possible future consequences - and these people see Harris as a tax raiser....
Its a simple explanation (which may not be the whole thing) but has a frightening plausibility about it....

@ChrisMayLA6 I think the echo chamber of right wing media also plays a part for many low information voters. They might not particularly care for policy considerations around the economy; however, they are politically tribal and want their side to win at all costs.
