@bibliolater In Mastodon? Yes. You search for it, click on it, and then there's a big fat button to follow it.

Type #<whatever hashtag you want> in search -> quick actions -> go to hashtag -> follow hashtag

@bibliolater in the app you can click on a hashtag and add the top of the new page, you click on the button Follow.
