@bloc I agree. Moderation is something every platform has to tackle particularly if it gets big enough. I was not implying that mastodon is somehow more prone to abusive behavior than other platforms. Quite the opposite has been the case so far. But that's in part because up till now it flew under the radar of a lot of bad actors because it was small.

This is changing already with the large influx of new users and I am not convinced that mastodon as it is currently set up will be able to deal with it effectively.
