Don't confuse religion with church. Personally i'm a fan of neither, but religion is supposed to be a personal thing, while church is the institutionalization of religion. Institutionalization of philosophical concepts has seldom led to something good. It is a vehicle to enforce power over people, which is bad in itself, independent from the underlying ideas.
@bloc @jambox @georgetakei I judge christians by their foundational document, the bible. The bible god promises to torture and massacre billions of people. Hard stop. Anyone still worshiping that god after reading his plans for people like me is fucked up. Like clinging to confederate flags because ‘heritage’. Y’all need to choose better.

I'm right there with you. Not a christian myself, nor do I feel particular love for this religion. Although I think most other religions are also not exactly passionate about all those not sharing their views. To me religion isn't really desirable for a whole bunch of reasons.
