So, my understanding is that ActivityPub involves a "push" of content out to all of the followers; e.g. when I make a post, better.boston sends it to the servers of my <n> hundred followers (either per follow or per instance, I don't quite know which).

Does that mean that a rogue ActivityPub client could actually push _different_ content to each of them? e.g. I could write a server which would add "move off mastodon.social!" to mastodon.social feeds _only_?

@crschmidt I'm not sure but it strikes me that the client would likely route a message through their instance which would then push to followers instances. I'd be surprised if the client itself communicates directly to instances of the user's followers. Be aware though that I've not looked at the ActivityPub protocol so It's a pure guess.
