is there a database of vegetables and their growing conditions like when the seeds are planted, when it's harvest time, soil conditions, light conditions?
i'm eyeballing it currently, but things could be optimized with some knowledge :)

@bonifartius There are thousands of books....

More important in the long run (since you learn by doing...) are plant communities. Which are able to grow side by side to increase yield.

@CapitalB sure, that also is important. i'd just like to prepare a calendar with the relevant times. i know some but especially for things i plant the first time it would be really handy.

@bonifartius I know such books on agrotechnics exist but they are used in agriculture, big farms or greenhouses.
