hell, i don't even know what to write there in this case. it started as an idea for

> why can't i hold all these free speeches

but it turned out as random memery. so you could title it

> why can't i hold all these creepy emoji concoctions

aswell.

also please don't πŸ‘ clap when asking people a favor.

@bonifartius yeah the emoji isn’t the best. But there is none for . So I went with the hands

@apinae i guess i'm just too accustomed to PEOPLE πŸ‘ DOING πŸ‘ THIS πŸ‘ with extremely stupid takes.

maybe πŸ™Œ ? or πŸ™ ? i know it's called "pray" but i have more often seen it in the "thank you" context.

or just no emoji ;)

@bonifartius gotcha. Yeah this one πŸ™πŸΌ or no emoji is probably the best route. Just didn’t want it to β€˜sound’ too harsh.

@apinae from my experience it's much more easy to get things wrong with emoji vs. the classical emoticons. a :) goes a long way, selecting the right one from the emojis is almost impossible 😬

wait @apinae and @bonifartius, isn’t πŸ™πŸΌ for high five?

@cnx @bonifartius when I use the emoji it says prayer (which is not what I wanted to express though). Who thought emojis would make communication easier πŸ˜…

@apinae, I looked it up and it seems you’ve been using it correctly: its official name is person with folded hand.

BTW I don’t think emoji are accessible in normal UIs due to there usual tiny display size, unless one is using a screen reader. For many smileys and especially full-body emoji it’s faster to look up than to squint and guess. Cc: @bonifartius

@cnx @bonifartius I think another big part is cultural bias, as well as age of the parties and peer group's influence. It could be considered a language of its own, with a lot of room for interpretation.
