even as an european who is accustomed to governments doing crazy shit all the time, it's really interesting to see canada going _so_ full throttle evil.

this whole assisted suicide stuff is absolutely wrong. not for being about "killing people". it's obviously just to get rid of chronically ill to save money, but the front is "look friendly canadians are caring for the ill!!1". disgusting shit.

@bonifartius euthanasia is a good thing. death is better than miserable, painful life or madness. a person should have a choice to live or die, this is his own business and nobody's else. and dealing with suicides is always more troublesome than assisting in death legally.

@iron_bug @jrballesteros05 as i've written, it's not about the killing. you can never choose for someone else though, but in my opinion this effectively is what is happening.

pushing it as an option for mentally ill shows how evil these people are - even if that possibility has been revoked in canada.

most mental illnesses now are due to society being a meat grinder. it's as if the bullies were the ones who deal out the help - of course they would say "haha, kys!". it's cheaper and they don't have to deal with the problem anymore. the humanistic varnish doesn't help, the monetary motives shine through.

there are so many ways these sicknesses could possibly be treated. not even serious research is done - likely because many substances would be available as cheap generics. for some people you can fix severe depression where nothing else works with a ketamine "trip" every other week. this is still a non-standard treatment, despite it being cheap and effective. it is of course not the optimum treatment, ketamine might do damage of it's own. so do ssris very likely, everything is fucking with brain chemistry one way or another. the same goes for non-mental illnesses.

offering people death instead is exactly the opposite of what the progressives paint themselves though. i feel they offer not out of kindness, but out of greed.
