Under communism, would owning a house for yourself and your family count as personal property? Or would you not be able to own a house?
@sim It's yours, until the state tells you it's not.

@sim @galena i had the same thought too. you can't be sure with any system where it's ok to take away your property. they will always invent some reason why it's alright, it's collective property and you are a thief.

@bonifartius @galena We need your property so that we can bulldoze over it to add a new landing strip for planes... for the economy! For the greater good, you must be displaced.

Or how about those people that lived on an island, but then the US army decided that they wanted the land for a base so the local people had to be displaced far from their homeland. Disgusting.

@sim @galena
sure it happens in so called capitalism too, if you have a state it will be corrupt and used against it's population.

@bonifartius @galena Yeah, unfortunately real world examples that I know when it comes to the state.

@sim @galena totally, if they want to build for example a new highway here in germany you can be disowned. it's really evil shit.

@bonifartius @galena I agree with you that it is evil what they are allowed to get away with here. They should not have that kind of power to make people disowned.
