@bonifartius There has been quite a bit of confusion on that topic. Some years ago, it was some sort of "GNU GPLv2 modified" things, many distros classified it incorrectly as GNU GPLv2. When that was brought up they made their own license (NPSL).
Fydor, the maintainer, has constantly refused to be frank about what the intention is even with the old one which many read as plain GPL without any balls or chains.
