turns out
- codeberg raking in 50k€ EU money directly robbed from european citizens under threat of violence
- using this money for maintaining a gitea fork
- being direct concurrence to the original developer of gitea (and it's predecessor) doing a business to finance infrastructure for gitea
is more ethical if the sense of what qualifies as even remotely just is warped enough by collectivist propaganda.
time to start an EU financed sourcehut fork? xD
@genmaicha in principle it's perfectly fine to rake in as much state money as possible if it was stolen from you in the first place.
i just absolutely hate the "we're the goodies" larp the thing lunny did, creating a company to allow better development, is perfectly fine and in my eyes the lesser evil as it's solely money from people who willingly gave it then.
codeberg (apparently) proactively deleted some repository of an anti cloudflare group because of "dox". iirc they only collected tweets and other very public information there. techrights has a story about that.
guess i just want my 2000s internet back?
