i don't think that there ever can be "no psychopaths", regardless of how good a society is. trying to use a state to control psychopaths is to hand them the biggest gun there is, because these people actively seek out positions of power. history has proven this time and time again.

people who want to subdue or kill others will do it anyway, even without firearms. on the other side, guns give physically weaker people means to defend against physically stronger attackers.

i'd absolutely love for everyone to treat each other well. unfortunately i just don't believe it will ever happen.
