'awesome lists' are like rat traps for ADHD people

@icedquinn i never have found anything good on awesome lists. they only exist to farm stars on github.

@bonifartius i find neat stuff on there sometimes. though i rarely need to use most of it.

@icedquinn i found them either to be like my browsers bookmarks, a list where everything of remote interest goes into, or a list of things everyone knows already. might be that i'm overly pessimistic about these things though ;)

@icedquinn to expand:

maybe it's a phenomenon not many others are affected by, but huge lists overload my brain. is that what you mean by rat trap? i can't decide what really looks interesting, it's too much information. not only these awesome lists, it's _any_ list with more than 10-15 items. just zaps my brain in a weird kind of way.

@bonifartius i usually scroll through and if the description on the side sounds cool i open it in a tab. then end up reading 20 tabs of stuff that i probably never end up using.

@icedquinn i'd probably sit there with 20 tabs and couldn't decide where to start :)
