@slackline Apparently-solid studies demonstrate that (1) users perceive mouse as slower and (2) by external objective measures, mouse is faster.
But by what external measures? Overall time to complete some artificial task? Or even a battery of real-world tasks?

@james @slackline it depends on the task at hand and how mouse operations are implemented. i'd love to have the mouse chording of the acme editor in other editors, it works very well for the most common tasks.
