Why would journalists go to Fedi if all it meant was that they could only be heard by the servers the admins liked?
Mass defederations and fostering a uptight atmosphere chased the opportunities away.
FediBlock gave Musk all the power he needed.
You can't just want decentralized social media to work, you have to operate in a way that can actually allow it to thrive.

this implies that people are too stupid (a standard socialist policy). i think people, maybe except for progressives, are fed up being called stupid.

As far as I can tell Cenk is the only one who's calling out their bullshit.

Cenk Uygur and Ana Kasparian are the most useless people on earth. They constantly talk out both sides of their mouth. Why in fuck does anyone listen to these irrelevant people? Their continual hypocritical faux outrage is utterly retarded and will make you even more retarded if you let them in your head.
@gabriel @bonifartius :gutkato_brulas_senzorge: ah yes, when the lefty achieves maximum neuron activation and realizes their benefactors never thought of them as anything more than a useful idiot.

that's a rage that burns pretty bright

Did owning Twitter really make a difference

I definitely think it moved the needle.
Think of it as a super massive, super targeted ad spend. All it needed to do was make sure those likely to vote for Trump did.

@gabriel @sun that's very different from buying the election. the idea of "buying the election" is directly admitting that the one saying it thinks the whole election is a scam anyway.
