@Em0nM4stodon Is Signal considered big tech? Figure end-to-end encrypted messaging groups would help a lot with organizing stuff like this, at least on smaller scale.
@x0 Signal isn't big tech at all. It's owned by a nonprofit organization, and I absolutely recommend using it for everything. I personally use it for everything with everyone. Signal is awesome 💙
@Em0nM4stodon @x0 nonprofit which gets absurd amounts of funding from _somewhere_, requiring phone numbers and "trust me bro" when it comes to communication metadata, with the whole thing living in the cloud.
@cjd @x0 @Em0nM4stodon irc would just need good e2ee, some standard to reliably transfer files (even out of band with irc just the signalling channel, like with matrix media store stuff..) and some transport layer for unreliable connections (PLZ NOT HTTP)
