I just make a directory of symbolic links in "unwatched_anime" whenever I pirate something and delete the think when I watch it. I made a script to automate it years ago, but only use it for my movies folder now:

Yea, it's called mpv. I wrote this frontend for it too, but I haven't worked on it in a while .. still has some bugs that need fixin'

@djsumdog@djsumdog.com MPV is a movie player, I mean a media player as in a proper interface to play media, which generally keeps track of what you watched already. Don't tell me you hook up a laptop to your TV, open a terminal by hand and then manually type out what you want to watch 😨
