@mangeurdenuage yeah, not a single cloud here and temperature is 5°C. all the birds are singing though which is very nice :)
@vidyut before the change to bachelor/master system university in germany was much better for students to learn thinking. now it's more about how well you can remember the right answers. the few courses i had which were classic seminar style were really great (especially the "uninteresting" ones where only few students were caring to go :)
This whole gamification of scores as a measure of worth and access to opportunity dehumanizes students into performing monkeys chasing answers that will score rather than knowledge.
Nothing to be proud of.
@thor well, read it as wishful thinking. perks of communicating on the net ;)
@thor no you don't explicitly said that you wish for taxes to be raised.
point is: homeowners complaining about taxes is as valid as saying the rents are inflated (which would get more inflated because the landlords would also be taxed). in the end everyone loses.
@thor so it's better if everyone (except the state) is off worse? wouldn't it be better for the precariat to limit the price for renting?
-, state of the world, hopelessness
it looks like all the bad things are happening at the same time:
- highest wave of covid so far
- US leading the western world into inflation
- Canada oppressing its own citizens for supporting a peaceful protest
- Putin invading Ukraine
It feels like the western world is going to collapse any day now, and the only thing left will be China...
@serotonin@mstdn.io
azov battalion even has a wikipedia page saying there are nazis in there which are tolerated. headstamp publishing got shitstorm because they wanted to publish memoirs of an azov member because that would be platforming nazis.
you know, you can be against putins war _and_ acknowledge that there are nazis in part of the ukrainian armed forces. it isn't mutually exclusive.
@alexl@mstdn.io
and don't be mistaken, the war is the best thing that could happen for the west. another enemy to keep for the rest of our lives, right after omicron more or less fixed covid.
this will be the reason for everything in the forseeablle future, it already always were "russian hackers". it might be russian cyber-ops, but attribution is always vague at best for stuff on the net.
oil and gas getting expensive? russia to blame. internet and cryptography (and cryptocurrency) gets heavily regulated? only because russia! etc. ad nauseam. western governments can literally do anything now and blame it on the new old enemy.
@thor i always wonder if those newspapers check the ads they run.. this article and below it "5 positions for a small penis" -.-

don't only rely on my words, read what happy customers wrote about me: "10/10 would buy again", "top seller, great value", "wildly incorrect", "teil des problems", "without imagination", "Repeated provocation using copy/paste.", "if you take a dump in my mentions, I just might notice the smell", "log out and never login again", "Du redest wirr.", "My brother in Christ, this is such a ridiculously dumb statement that I will no longer entertain this silly conversation.", "Auf Derailing-Diskussionen habe ich keine Lust. Finger über dem Blocken-Knopf.", "Wie gesagt, du kannst der Diskussion inhaltlich nicht folgen.", "oh ein putinscher dampfplauderer *plonk*"
