@STP @brightside @jeffowski my old landlords rented out for a really fair price and were nice people. their "extra" asset is very likely worth this amount now because of the housing market.
they would be forced to sell just because of this tax. the house would go to some conglomerate and then would be rented out for the maximum price.
then the next round of complains about the housing market starts, with dimwits calling for more interventionism.
rinse and repeat.

das problem ist das "gesetzesübertretung" durch die gesetze definiert ist, nicht durch moralische betrachtung. dafür ist das posivistische rechtssystem verantwortlich. das 3. reich war auch legal, verfolgt wurden dort auch nur gesetzesbrecher.
ich lasse auch nicht "wusste es nicht besser" gelten: entweder man ist herr seiner sinne. dann hat man sein eigenes tun auch in aller konsequenz selbst zu verantworten. oder eben nicht, dann kann man sich die übung mit demokratie komplett sparen und gleich kollektivismus draus machen.
(im umkehrschluss sagen die kollektivistischen bestrebungen allerorts mmn. viel über das menschenbild unserer volksvertreter aus.)
@kmj die teile der gesellschaft (leider die mehrheit) die spalten, haben gar kein interesse daran das zu ändern. dann müssten sie einsehen das sie lügen aufgesessen sind.
