@walkman ok, we have amino acids. now what happens?
@scathach sensor watch is nice, but costs more than $20
@STP
it's really maddening that people still fall for the idea that a bit more government will fix things.
@brightside @jeffowski
@STP this seems how it's planned, yeah.
the biggest insult are the "millionaires for humanity" pushing these plans. they could already donate all their money. no one is forcing them to keep it.
_those_ millionaires will just place their wealth into some foundation before the law kicks in. a foundation which they then are employed by or something likewise. while preventing everyone else from becoming even a bit "rich" in the first place.
@cjd @brightside @jeffowski on the bright side, maybe the eu would dissolve then? xD
@STP @brightside @jeffowski my old landlords rented out for a really fair price and were nice people. their "extra" asset is very likely worth this amount now because of the housing market.
they would be forced to sell just because of this tax. the house would go to some conglomerate and then would be rented out for the maximum price.
then the next round of complains about the housing market starts, with dimwits calling for more interventionism.
rinse and repeat.
@brightside @jeffowski

> The criteria for defining an "ultra-rich" should vary from one EU country to another, due to the economic, fiscal and social differences between member states. In Belgium, for example, we propose that anyone with 1.25 million euros in assets in addition to their main home and business assets should qualify as "ultra-rich".
just admit you want to finally complete project EUSSR.
now it's 1.25 million extra that's verboten, tomorrow it's a house and a car.
i'd rather burn all my belongings than pay up for your nightmare of future.
