Hmmm I think I will choose to look at things that make me happy today (pictures of sailboats, aircraft, and dogs) instead of things that make me angry (Twitter screenshots)

On my second attempt at sunrise at Angkor Wat, I wasn’t really seeing the colors in the sky that I wanted. There were some nice colors but nothing that grabbed my eye. So, I decided to try something I haven’t done in years where you zoom in/out with your lens as you expose for a few seconds. This exposure was 4 seconds. Really pleased with the results I was able to create and look forward to sharing more.

We're so back (though temporarily in a bugout zone).

Verdämmt. "Einfach ein anderes Kabel dran machen, dann wird das schon klappen"-Mentalität. Später können wir dann um die gefallenen Helden jammern.

@paul being able to dig through a well made project and understand how parts work together is a great skill to have, but developing it is hard because it’s not something that can be trained with instant gratification. It takes a long time to develop the skill; longer than it takes to learn how to write code to begin with, which has a much shorter gratification cycle.

I really enjoy working with older projects that have cemented their design, especially when they are actually designed, and not just a bunch of messy patch work meant to ship things as fast a possible. It took me quite a few years of deliberate practice to become comfortable with this though, and I am still no expert at it.

trying our hand at canning over the 4 or 5 months. So far we have canned carrots, mushrooms, black beans, kidney beans, beef stew, beef chunks, ground beef, chicken, banana butter, pumpkin butter, tomato sauce, tomato juice. We have also done some dried foods. Dehydrated mixed veggies (in the air fryer), and repackaged pinto beans, mac noodles, spaghetti noodle, and brown sugar into Mylar. Here are a few pics. Anyone else here do any canning/preservation?

@yogthos All I see is democracy in action here -

Some people do democracy with words. Others do democracy with clubs, guns and handcuffs. Democracy's rich, dynamic tapestry.

When you absolutely have to move the entire pile of shit in one trip.

SPC had around 66k posts.
GNU/Smug had around 30k posts.
Aria.Company had around 3k posts, I think.
Every other instance before this one I have been on would've totalled around 1k posts.

The best part is I meme'd my way into finding love and getting married, because fedi is a dating platform if you try hard enough.

@ThatCrazyDude under proper conditions, like a community and extended families living together, yes 18 to 24 are prime baby making years and we are crafted to do so. The difference is that in a proper setting, you have elders around and they do a lot of the raising, raising a family isn't supposed to be done in this atomized way.
