@dew_the_dew @Nazz @becassine @blackeyes I've mentioned it before, here, but I'm still smarting over the treasures my family gave away: A whole collection of original, early pyrex, 80's tupperware, and a sweet kitchenaid mixer that weighed something like 40 pounds. All the girls in my family acted like it was gross and said they did me a favor because no one wants old kitchen wares.

They did the same with our family sewing machines for a time, but quickly replaced them with the method above when they found how weak the new ones were.

But that's the impulse for the older folks, they're not aware that things get worse by the day, so they figure the sweet new machines are better because they have extra buttons and pair to your phone or whatever

Guten morgen!
Am Samstag kam das erste #Lamm der Saison. Wir waren tagsüber weg, am Abend war es da. Ein Weibchen, gesund und munter. 4 werden noch lammern

First #lamb of the season came on saturday. We were away for the day. It was there when we came back in the evening. A healthy female. 4 more #sheep to lamb soon.

@aral Most electronic devices are made by resources extracted by slavery workers and even kids on mines and I don't see anyone stopping to buy devices. NATO has did much more damage and no one did anything for them. I'm not saying Russia is right to invade, just saying you only care when it affects Europe, that's kinda racist.

Benefits - No compensation.

I would argue if that's a benefit 😅

Anyway, this is a internship but you should have a bachelor's degree. If it was a internship done during studies, fine with no pay, but with a degree, do not like it. I hope they mean that this job is for students.

In 2015, RIM/Blackberry used patents to destroy Ryan Seacrest's form-fitting clip-on Iphone bluetooth keyboard. Because it looks like a Blackberry keyboard.
theverge.com/2015/6/1/8696991/

Now Blackberry is dead, and there's less than a dozen keyboard-equipped fully programmable "smart phones" on the market, and they're all over $800.

I hate the tech industry.

The narrative is trash and it's collapsing.
Let's make it so we don't all kill each other.

@stnert idk, it kind of it just the standard "in the end it's up to the user".
I've seen some horribly insecure Debian installs but also some very stronk ones.

Slackware on the other hand is lean and mean buuut this can also lead GNU+Linux Newbies to making it horribly insecure as well...

There's just too much to take into consideration really...

Hi y'all, I'm Peter and I like to build cute smol spacecraft from electronics and wire.

#Introduction

You will own nothing and be very happy, because complaining about stuff is now terrorism and punishable by financial sanctions.

@lupyuen
This is sickening how #Clearview is trying to use the horrors of the Ukrainian invasion to select from their own massive negative publicity lately.

So now the company that is selling illegal mass surveillance to underregulated government departments running black ops, is now trying to be seen as just helping to reunite refugee families?

Give me a break.
