@Nazz Glass like metal, is an infinitely recyclable product. It is efficient, easy and attractive in all generations of use.G lass is neither scarce nor difficult to harvest. It is environmentally inert, it is biologically safe, it does not impact the lives of creatures except to give them a broader degree of spaces to make their home or to accrete to. It becomes a part of its environment and with the passage of time is so totally subsumed as to fade away entirely. It's inherently attractive, like a gemstone. The processes of nature work upon it and make something inherently fascinating and precious to the beholder. Junk glass can be easily taken and wrought by artisans into beautiful things with ease.

Anyone who tells you that recycled plastic is good for the environment is someone who is phony. They care only because the puppet masters of the television race says that they should care. True environmentalism is incompatible with them. They're told to feel a certain way, they feel that way, and seek for ways to lighten the guilt carefully draped around them like a mantle.

They're not possessed by a spirit of stewardship and responsibility. The overwhelming sense of awe and spiritual wholeness nature provides isn't known to them. They're just possessed by a desire to feel less guilty.

They're your moral inferior.
foaming at the mouth over the snapple switch from glass bottles because i recently looked closer at their new (flimsy, plastic) bottles and they are advertising them as """""""eco-friendly""""""" and made of recycled materials

i know i dont have to explain this to anyone here but plastics recycling is a FUCKING SCAM and its FUCKING EVIL that they pushed the narrative that even 10% of all plastic goods can be recycled (newsflash, they cant) to get us to accept inferior quality cheaper products in cheaper packaging just so oil companies could get just a little more use out of their petroleum.

YOU KNOW WHATS NOT RECYCLABLE? MOST PLASTIC!! Plastic, when recycled, at best becomes an inferior quality gimmick product that only sells based on the fact that its made of recycled materials. It requires extra resources to make, as the plastics need heavy processing to get into a "reusable" state, not to mention the extra cost and emissions caused by all the extra sorting and transport required to get it from the consumer to the recycler. (this is also somewhat true of paper recycling but paper is not an unmitigated ecological disaster so it gets a pass for now)

YOU KNOW WHAT IS RECYCLABLE? FUCKING GLASS AND METAL, BUT WE GAVE IT UP!! WE GAVE IT UP JUST SO WE COULD HAVE MICROPLASTICS IN OUR FUCKING BRAINS AND DISPOSABLE BOTTLES! WE COULD STILL BE GETTING WHITMAN SAMPLERS IN TINS AND HAVING ALL OUR BEVERAGES STORED IN GLASS BUT I GUESS SOMEHOW HAVING MATERIALS THAT ARE ACTUALLY REUSABLE IS JUST NOT AS ECOFRIENDLY AS FILLING LANDFILLS TO THE BRIM WITH THE 90% OF CHEAP PLASTIC CRAP THAT CAN'T BE RECYCLED AND MAKING INFERIOR QUALITY RECYCLED PLASTIC CRAP WITH THE OTHER 10%

BUT, there’s also Reverse Polarity SMA, where the pin is the same polarity as the threads. Surely the polarity naming switches back as well, right?

WRONG, it still follows the backwards convention of SMA, so now it’s wrong both ways!

This is male RP-SMA. What were they smoking?

@Hyolobrika @11112011 yea I am not a nazi, and I don't support Russia, but I also think the west has provoked the current problems Ukraine is now facing, and I think there is a lot of inconsistency around when nazis are a good thing.

I also think that from where I sit the reporting on the conflict seems more objective from Russia than what they're propagating in the west.
>omg this piece of GPL software isn't secure
>lets re-write it in rust
>and also change the license to MIT

hot take: the idea of "mainstream media" and "mainstream" in general being a good thing is fundamentally flawed.
