I think more people should know where and how the food they eat comes from and how it's processed. I love farmers even though I'm a "city slicker" but farmers, especially cattle ranchers, have such an intimate relationship with their animals and the food they provide. Can't stand hunting for sport (of any kind), but hunting for food is fine. If more people knew where and how our food arrives on our table maybe people will take better care of our environment and the resources (those animals) that nature provides us. Also, anyone that's spent any time around any animal knows that cows, buffalo, pigs, chickens, sheep, goats, and every other animal we consume are just as smart and just as sentient as cats and dogs.

Whilst working on Other Stuff, I decided to exercise my curiosity on whether @kvik's port of lua to Plan 9 (sr.ht/~kvik/lu9/) would successfully run Fennel (fennel-lang.org/) and the results are hilarious. Here is a screenshot of me literally downloading the fennel script, chmodding it so it'll run, fixing up the #! and then using the fennel repl to take a screenshot of the window I did it all in.

I wasn't expecting to have that degree of success so quickly!

second rant today 

you know, if the green quadrant weren't the ones constantly making fun/hating on "white techbros" (hint: intelligent people with strong opinions whats technically and morally sound), they for sure would have more support. e.g. renewable energy makes much sense if applied right.

i don't have any inclination to deal with the green quadrant anymore by now. it's always just about how everything is my fault, and how i should give away things for free because of my guilt. their solutions are technocratic and dystopian quick fixes. see the botched vaccines against covid. the forced exit out of nuclear power without having enough alternatives and requiring even more electricity now due to banning combustion engines. throwing more weapons into a war because that will help preventing deaths of civilians in a country which has essentially drafted every civilian male.

green quadrant is literally the bullshit quadrant. they talk about me (supposedly a white techbro) like evil incarnate, demanding my help while literally making my life worse all the time with their broken bullshit solutions.

if you flame, at least be man (:troll:) enough to be quoted on that and get flamed in return.
