Free Speech according to the idea of mostly left-wing oriented operators of Mastodon instances means to permanently exclude at least 500 instances worldwide from the federation because of "wrong opinions".

It took me more than a week of intensive research to find the part of Fediverse that was locked out by the Federation.

Mastodon, contrary to all praise, is degenerating into an even more censored platform than Twitter and Facebook combined.

don't care much about struggling about blocklists because people will use them whether you want them to or not, and many if not most people will not care if you give them a good reason that the list or an entry in it is bad. you also have people on this network like the guy fediblocking somebody, being told it wasn't even the right person, and replying "what does that matter". you aren't going to fix these people.

@stike yeah.... It would sound so much less insincere if it was just "we apologize" without all that bullshit excuses. Everyone had access to the same information. If i knew, everyone who didn't know simply choose not to know or altogether outsourced their thinking to the regime. Just saying.

I thought it would be nice to start my Mastodon adventure with a #Mondog (what a lovely adventure into cuteness this hashtag is). This is Jess, my family's eldest dog. Her hobbies are splashing in puddles and playing fetch with every toy imaginable.
