Last time the CDC spent 10 minutes talking about Candida auris, was ripping through the community.

But yeah, have lunch at Applebees.

Took a major L today. Signed up for a class at the Y because the boxing gym is closed for renovations. Got in and a it’s a bunch of middle aged women in there, like silver sneakers club. I thought I signed up for the wrong class, I almost left but didn’t wanna be disrespectful.

Devastatingly correct. Extremely one-handed great sword.

I'm just saying, significantly fewer sky wolves to the south!

@fossesq@fosstodon.org
Have you tried going south to get your ass kicked instead of going north?

Possibly, but tbh she picked an optimization problem that entire companies are created to solve. That said, I think she's on to something, chatGPT might be *very* good at generating test data.

Would it have been faster to just code it? Honest question. This thread is like the business user explaining the requirements to the PM, then the coder, then a ton of iteration. twitter.com/rachel_l_woods/sta

I've just been informed that it's lesbian visibility week, so go ahead and find a lesbian to stare at. She won't mind.

Sometimes it feels like everything in this game hits like a truck. like, I'm going back and experimenting with the "useless" early game spells with my upgraded gear and they're -devastating-. Crystal barrage! Glintstone arc! Spinning Weapon! Holy cow!

Ok, fine, I admit the moonveil might be a little OP, as I just booped the draconic tree sentinel to death in, like, 4 hits while he was busy punching my definitely OP +10 mimic tear in the face (and she is still better at this game than I am).

Ooh, tough one. On one hand I would very much like to see Disney taxed into the sun, but on the other, more persuasive hand, I'd really like to see that hateful can of generic biscuits Desantis eat shit. I want both damnit! nyti.ms/3Hl24yj

Cool. How do I get it to run in my browser? Asking for the VP who just stopped me in the hall.

Node 20 allows you to compile your app into a single executable along with the entire Node.js core so you can run your apps on systems where node isn't installed, or your don't trust the system version.

@JortsTheCat Hey @JortsTheCat , did you know that if you ask Alexa how to start a union at work she tells you to go to HR?

Don't do that.

A freebie book idea: science mutates a fungus and a bacterium that, when combined, digests plastic into an industrially useful oily substance quickly enough that we now have effective plastic recycling. An industrial accident releases the active agents into the environment.

I wanna see this guy do it. Not that I don't think he could, but because time-sense goes right out the window when you focus on something and really think about it, and what feels like 5 minutes often isn't and he probably doesn't code as fast as he thinks he does.

It's all an illusion, of course, but it's a good one, and it's giving people what they want, which is a simple and direct way to make a computer do stuff. We want this to be true so bad it's dangerous. People will get hurt because the vibes are too good.

You go up to chatGPT, and ask it to do work you want done in a normal regular way, and it responds immediately with something that looks like what you wanted done. It's snappy, it's direct, and it's SIMPLE. If you're not too discriminating, it feels like it JUST WORKS.

My own nonexpert opinion is that chatGPT should be viewed as a UX nuclear weapon. In a very real sense, chatGPT doesn't *do* anything but input and output meaningless piles of words, but the vibes are absolutely exquisite. It feels like how computers should work.
