Oh boy. #7books to get to know me. This is going to show you how narrow I am but, godspeed.

- The City & The City — China Mieville. I cannot recommend this enough.
- Small Gods — Terry Pratchett. Better than American Gods.
- Anathem — Neal Stephenson. The man still cannot write an end to save his life.
- Roadside Picnic — Arkady and Boris Strugatsky. I hate having to choose one book by them.
- To Say Nothing Of The Dog — Connie Willis. The funniest damn book.
- The Algebraist — Iain M. Banks. Love The Culture but this might be better.
- The Crippled God — Steven Erikson. The last book in the Malazon series. The ending is emotional perfection. I'll never read it again.

@warkittens I guess I'll need to try Anathem even though I'm tired of his books not having decent endings.

Snow Crash and Diamond Age made a big impression on me. I read them when they came out, and still think about them now and then.
