I feel like I don't explicitly state this often enough, but I want to see a future where most people are on federated social networks. Mastodon, Pleroma, Misskey, etc, instead of Twitter, Facebook and Instagram.

@Gargron Long time before that happens, Eugen. I'm on the same page, but how do you think that the older generation, who is barely comfortable with the ins and outs, (privacy not withstanding) of mainstream social media would be able to jump to a greater comfort level with federated social networks? my parents, for instance, no matter how well I explain, they'd never understand what the term means.
