My dad is intelligent, but his intelligence seems spotty these days: sometimes he'll say something completely profound, but then say things at other times where, I legitimately cannot believe he'd say something so dumb.
Tonight was one of those nights were he said something brilliant, and could change how people view Science as an academic institution.
But then once we get home sometimes, he'll immediately switch to talking about the most current Political Partisan Neo-Liberal garbage.

In theory the 'Open Source ecosystem' has just as much to offer as the Apple or Google ecosystems. In practice though it is much less accessible than the other two. Maybe we need some company, community or organisation that integrates services like #NextCloud, #peertube and #matrix with Open Source Operating Systems like #linux for desktops, laptops, tablets, phones etc.
making it more of a out-of-the-box experience for users.
