@mjog@octodon.social Can I ask a question, then? How do you then get the news from venders and organizations you follow? Most of the stuff happening in the techisphere, for instance, is on Twitter. I could use RSS, though that's a read-only means of retrieving information.

@kaniini @dansup @mattbk I've never been much of a fan of anything Adobe's put out; never mind their programming applications. They eventually stopped supporting ASP.net, you know, in its very early days, mind you. And ASP.NET's always been free to learn. More so now with .NET core coming around; wonder if they rethunk that?

I'm no mathematician. In fact, I didn't achieve much better than a 75 in math most of my high school life, and In college? Don't even talk to me about that. I got a C in my only computer science class I ever took.

I'm still trying to rap my head around the convertTo expression in C#; thank Gods the book I'm learning from is finally deciding to offer real examples … the mathematical examples make my freaking head spin around and around. Not sure whether that's a very nasty jab at programming; either @jdormit@mastodon.technology or @freemo can fill me in on that?

@mjog@octodon.social I have one, but I don't use it. I much prefer Mastodon, or Pleroma (I've do away with Twitter if most of the newsfeeds weren't there.)
