I definitely will add my business site to the indieweb.org wiki, though I don't think it will be running Sempress for much longer; my sighted assistant keeps pointing out visual flaws in the CSS; says it looks "terrible", though won't lend any details. (she oftentimes forgets I can't see.)

I'll tell you. I don't have that much faith in the Plume platform; as nice as it sounds, and yes, I nearly put my personal blog up there, but each time I've ever made a post, nothing shows up, and i always get http 404 errors on freaking everything. Is this a development flaw? If written in PHP, then, maybe my team could help?

This weekend should be interesting. Might ask around to get a list of visuals on Windows so that I can better support the sighted non-technical community. It's about time that I realize my weaknesses and start thinking about ways to adapt rather than try to factor my blindness into my methods of support. I've played the "blind card" for too long without even realizing it.

I think that @jmac1106 might have tried to reply to the wrong account earlier; I moved a while ago from mastodon.social, but I've not seemingly figured how to get rid of the corresponding references to it.

@freemo Oddly enough, only Windows uses the Apipa addressing scheme. It does make for a handy way to grab internet, though, when no DHCP server's available.

@xenon Which OS are you using? On Windows, AcmeSharp and or Certify will work. Not sure about automation though on Linux; only thing I can think of is if your site's on cPanel, then , you have a chance.

@freemo I had a weird thing where my laptop kept getting a apipa address, and that's because it took me long enough to figure this out … my DNS servers weren't set up properly, hence the VPN I have with my friend's network segment wasn't seemingly functioning.
