"Unfettered conversations"?

You mean "free speech"?

The New York Times: Unfettered conversations are taking place on Clubhouse, an invitation-only app that lets people gather in audio chatrooms.

@asakura @borrof If your laptop is slow, Bloat is excellent, though it's still browser-based. No JS required, but you can turn on some minimal JS (called "fluoride mode" in the settings) to make, e.g., likes work without a page reload.

You can run it locally, though there are also public instances. FSE's is at bloat.freespeechextremist.com , and code at git.freespeechextremist.com. We have a few local modifications from the original, which is at freeSOFTWAREextremist.com: https://git.freesoftwareextremist.com/bloat .
