Please show me a *good* argument against AI art that isnt just telling us capitalism is bad (we know) or that you dont understand intellectual property or that it somehow isnt art (it is).

@Astrid The question "what is art" is a deeply philosophical question that has no clear answer, so it is altogether unsurprising that people will come up with arguments for or against "AI art" having the necessary qualifying characteristics. Personally, I see two major problems with AI art. I would hold that art is a conversation between the artist and the viewer in a way that tries to convey an emotional response. Absent that conversation/communication, I'm not sure I would call it "art".

AI art does involve that conversation, though! The human artist still intentionally created the work, and chose it out of all the other works that could have been shown, to show to the viewer.

The only reason the communication wouldn't happen, is that the viewer somehow discounts the existence and agency of the human artist, because of the computer software involved. Which I think would be a pity.
