Diving back into a (slow, inept) parallel reading of the "The Pleasure of the Text" and «Le Plaisir du texte», we come to and let pass unnoticed various sentences which are rather delightful if not obviously true (or obviously not true), and note only

Yes, same general area! He throws around words like tmesis ("une sorte de tmèse affaiblie») , anecdote, anacoluthe, asyndète, in ways that don't seem to apply, strictly speaking, but (one suspects!) make some deeper sort of sense (although one also suspects that he's just trolling sometimes).
