The real conflict in the Middle East (and for that matter elsewhere) is between the "Leaders" who get their power (and I bet some sick quasi-sexual satisfaction) from the conflict, and the people who just want to live their lives.

And among the many tragedies is that all too many of the people have been convinced to regard half of the "leaders" as their allies, and half of the people as their enemies, when that is not true at all.
