@GottaLaff @msbellows I feel like this is the one hypocrisy we have as liberals and democrats.
Conservatives have many, but this is ours.
Endangered bird species need their eggs protected by law. Why? Because of what they will become.
So there’s a logic to the embryo idea.
I’m actually pro abortion. On demand. But that’s because I have no problem with the morality of it. But I also understand it’s a hypocrisy to protect bald eagle eggs but say the words “an embryo, or a fetus, is not a person.”
We should come to terms with this as a group.

That's just wrong, though? It's not hypocrisy, because it's true: an embryo or a fetus is NOT a person, just like an eagle's egg isn't an eagle.
Eagle eggs aren't inside the body of an eagle that might not want them there. We don't somehow force eagles to tend the eggs in their nests! Much less to give parts of their own bodies over to the welfare of their eggs.
This analogy just doesn't work.
