I was wrong that there's a surprising lack of shouting about the biblical apocalypse given the circumstances. It's just channelled into other conspiracy theories and grand narratives.

personally I wouldn't put it in this rhetoric, but I agree with the content. Look out for what isn't being measured.

@esvrld@octodon.social that's mostly true, it's a lot of hype and social/marketing/policy uses are predicability awful. But some of the many things they call machine learning (including just big statistics) do have some uses in classifying and guiding in research computing.

Luckily for my program I got 2, 16.
