@Hikitile well, my previous comment here made it so I guess it was just a temporary thing? Actually, I wonder if there's a difference between top-level comments and replies to other comments.
The admin of kbin.social has had to put the site behind DDoS protection to cope with the load the site is experiencing. Unfortunately that self-same protection breaks the site's ability to Federate properly, so for the time being kbin.social is effectively cut off from much of the Fediverse.
